Whoopsy! I crashed half of the MassBands.org website yesterday! My bad. Yeah, I was changing over the menu HTML/PHP coding to make it more interactive with the WordPress software. Basically, everything outside of my WordPress theme directory was unreachable or unviewable. Well, anyways, I’ve changed up the design – yet again! I swear I must adjust the design here every few weeks. Enjoy!
The design for MassBands.org has been changed -yet again. In an attempt to make it more mobile friendly, the menu buttons have been enlarged and the screen stretched fully left and right. Since more and more people are using Mobile Devices to access the internet, I thought it might be a wise choice. I’m not to sure if I’m happy with the color scheme though. Any suggestions? More to come.
At MassBands.org we strive to help out the local Northeast US music scene. This is a non-profit site featuring a blog and links of local acts. Most acts featured have had email contacts with us, requesting to be on this site or being requested to be on. Though contact is not required, from a journalistic stand-point;I feel I owe it out of respect -being a musician myself. So if you would like to be added or removed form this linking board send an email to admin@MassBands.org. I would like to make this site better than a sign up “profile” site. This is a selective site. Only acts and links that pass “the test” go up, but not all that have passed have been posted yet. Sorry I’ve gotten lazy in my postings/web codings, it’s not easy running this site solo. I’m hoping for some more “pro bono” bloggers and web coders to start rockin on this network; so until then, rock on!
Howdy!
This is MassBands.org here wishing you a happy day! If your link appears here -on this site- count yourself lucky! I like your stuff. Following is a complete list of all links featured on MassBands.org. If you’re listed you should interact with me, I want to promote your thing as much as mine. Because we all know, it’s better to write a song than to play one. It’s better to play one than listen to one. It’s better to listen to one than be a record company or however the adage goes. I forget who said that, can someone run a google search? Lol. Enjoy! -Mike at admin@MassBands.org
I don’t quite remember our first show with them, but The Slobbies have always been a great time with some truly original music. It seems so seldom lately, to find a band with an original sound and style, there’s so many copies out there; but the Slobbies deliver something absolutely new and different with their brand of Slob Rock. When I think about their live set recently, when we toured with them at Paul’s Pub in Methuen, it’s amazing how they got the crowd going. You can’t help but scream back lyrics, and dance around.
If you were to ask Willey I’m sure he’ld say, “This is Slobby TV, motherf*cker!!” Indeed it is. The Slobbies take it to the next level, in addition to some really great music they also showcase a great line-up of “Sweded” movies, as well as their already awesome music videos. I think it’s great when a band really uses their bandwidth for such creative things. See The Slobbies in such classics as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Dumb and Dumber, Stand By Me, Paranormal Activity and others.
